Well I did it I ran the 1/2 in Jacksonville.. It was a great day... but warm much warmer than I thought.. almost 80 and I had trained in 30 to 40 degrees so what a difference.. I did the best thing that I could I slowed down and finished.. I ran with a pace group.. smart move.. Then I met a guy and we ran together.. It was also a smart move.. We finished it.. a bit slower than I wanted but I finished.. This was the first year for the race and it was a blast . They did a great job.. There were no water issues and swag was good.. I think my dad had a good time as well.. See the pictures below.

Well We did it .. This Danny we ran together at about the 1/2 way point....
Well here it is I got my metal.. This is the first year for the race and the metals were nice..
